Two veterans of the security and access control industry have set up an import and distribution company to introduce a range of new technologies, including 3D facial recognition, to Australian and New Zealand. 

With nearly 50 years combined experience in the physical security industry Trevor May and Kevin Gibb have launched TakSec Solutions Pty Ltd introducing products from North American manufacturers Bioscrypt and CANSEC.

They predict an immediate and high level of interest from government and the financial sector in the emerging technology of 3D facial recognition.

“Bioscrypt has pioneered quantum advances in the hardware and software required for facial recognition which are maximizing the accuracy and speed of this form of biometric access control technology. 

“We envisage rapidly growing interest in the technology in Australasia, especially from government agencies and major companies such as banks.

“The market is also expanding for more established biometric technology such as fingerprint access control systems and proximity readers as improved design and greater functionality ensures better more reliable solutions for even smaller organisations,” Trevor May said.

TakSec is appointing resellers and systems integrators in Australia and New Zealand.
